RC Airfoil Database: Tips for Modeling Wing Sections in Design Elements

When it comes to modeling wing sections for your RC pylon racer, you may be wondering whether to use MOI or Design Elements. As a member of this forum, I'd like to hear from others regarding their opinions on the matter.

For me, working with MOI allows for quick creation of wing and tool flanges, but it lacks parametric driven ability for fixing holes, which can be frustrating. That's why I've decided to upload my model for the experts to analyze and offer any advice they may have.

One of the most challenging aspects of modeling a wing section is generating surfaces that are nicely tangential to other surfaces at the tip. I recently tried to mimic Oldbelt's method from his uploaded Orion wing model, but unfortunately, it didn't quite work out as planned. If anyone has experience with this specific issue or can offer any guidance on how to achieve the desired result, please share your insights.

While I was able to model the complete wing section in MOI using their trial version, my goal is to be able to crack the model within Design Elements. This program offers more flexibility and parametric control, making it an attractive option for creating complex wing sections like those found on RC pylon racers.
